Trinity has always been closely allied with the City of Portsmouth, the Olde Towne neighborhood, and area churches. Throughout the years, our members have been instrumental in organizing Portsmouth Volunteers for the Homeless and we continue to provide dinner and overnight accommodations for the homeless during the winter. We also support the city-wide food pantry and serve breakfast monthly at the Oasis Social Ministry Center.
Trinity is, perhaps, best known for the Annual Children's Christmas Shoppe, which attracts hundreds of children from all over the city. At the shoppe, members of the parish and the community-at-large provide a wide variety of affordable gifts and, under the supervision of an "elf", children are able to do their own shopping for loved ones.
Through the standing committee on Mission and Outreach, we give financial support to the national Church, the Diocese of Southern Virginia, in addition to state-wide and municipal social agencies.
